Your guide to making the most of your AceUp 360 as a coachee.
What is a 360?
The AceUp Tech-Enabled 360 is a powerful coaching, learning, and development process that helps you become better informed about your strengths and areas for improvement so that you can define and pursue the goals that matter most for you and your organization. The process is confidential for both you and your reviewers so that everyone feels comfortable sharing insights and suggesting new approaches. That means their comments will be shared with you verbatim, but your reviewers name will not be attached to them.
A 360 starts by identifying a group of reviewers above, below, and at your level who can provide a range of perspectives on working with you. AceUp will generate a report that your coach will take you through with an eye on which insights and comments are most useful to your goals and development. Your AceUp 1-1 Executive Coach will present the completed 360 report during one of your regularly scheduled coaching sessions to debrief and discuss applications. Having a qualified expert coach deliver this information ensures the best possible outcome and optimizes productivity from this powerful tool. This holistic view that often reveals gaps between your perception of your skill levels and behaviors and your reviewers allows for an incredible jumping of point for the growth, goal-setting and development you can do with your coach.
How to Select Reviewers
Coachees should work with their Direct Manager and any other Key Stakeholders to align on and confirm a Reviewer List for their 360s. A varied cross section of Reviewers will create the most holistic view possible from the 360 Feedback Loop. It also ensures anonymity among Reviewers. AceUp highly recommends 6 - 12 Reviewers that are mixed of beneath, lateral, and above the individual Coachee within the organizational structure. We ask that Reviewers are categorized by:
- Direct Report
- Peer
- Manager
- Other * This could be someone you work closely with outside of your organization, i.e. a consultant, vendor or partnering organization.
It’s natural to ask those with whom you have a solid working relationship to complete the survey. By also asking those with whom you may have had challenges working with in the past, you will get an even more comprehensive 360 result. Those with whom you’re close are less likely to ofer critical/opportunity feedback, and often that is the most valuable kind. We highly recommend that each Coachee notify their Reviewers regarding their 360. Please see below for an email template you can use:
