Learn what the AceUp Quarterly Self Assessment Report is, who has access to the report, where you can find it, and our recommendations for getting the most out of the report.
The Quarterly Self Assessment Report is available to coachees and coaches for any Quarterly Self Assessment completed after Jan 13th, 2022. If your coachee has completed a Quarterly Self Assessment prior to that date, you and your coachee will still have access to the assessment results.
What is a Quarterly Self Assessment Report?
The Quarterly Self Assessment Report is generated after coachees complete their Quarterly Self Assessment. In general, AceUp invites coachees every quarter to self-reflect on their personal development across the core competencies through this assessment. Information presented in the report is collected from coachees' self-assessment answers to their most recent or when available, the two most recent Quarterly Self Assessment(s)/Intake Survey(s).
When you see the Quarterly Self Assessment Report, it is presented from the perspective of the coachee. Typically it will include:
- Coachee's basic personal and professional information. We collect such information from the coachee's inputs during their coachee onboarding.
- Reflection on the past 90 days. A summary of areas the coachee focused on over the past 90 days, as well as their self-reflection on the impact and results of the work they've done with you. This can be a helpful step to prepare for their next quarter.
- Coaching Motivation. The coachee's self-reported level of motivation for coaching and the explanation of the score in their own words. If the coachee has completed more than one Quarterly Self Assessment/Intake Survey, you will also see the change of their motivation level.
- Results on Leadership Competencies. A summary of the coachee's perspective on how successfully they engage in different leadership behaviors associated with each of the 12 AceUp competencies. If the coachee has completed more than one Quarterly Self Assessment/Intake Survey, you will also see the the comparison between where they are at right now vs 90 days ago.
- Areas of Focus. What the coachee would like to focus on for their next 3 months of coaching with their coach, to help facilitate and guide development discussions and goal setting.
- Employee Experience. This can give you insights into how your coachees feel about their team and workplace so that you can help them decide where they most want to explore new approaches. If the coachee has completed more than one Quarterly Self Assessment/Intake Survey, you will also see the the comparison between where they are at right now vs 90 days ago.

Who Has Access To A Quarterly Self Assessment Report?
- Coachees
- The coachee's active coach whom they are working with
- Once you stop working with a coachee (e.g. the coachee switches to a different coach or ends their coaching engagement), you will no longer have access to the coachee's Quarterly Self Assessment Report.
The coachee's employer will NOT have access to their Quarterly Self Assessment Report. Information used and displayed in this report might be consolidated with information from other coachees and shared in aggregate and anonymously with the coachee's employer.
Where Can You Find The Quarterly Self Assessment Report?
As soon as your coachee completes their Quarterly Self Assessment, you will receive an email with the link to the report.
You can always access a coachee's Quarterly Self Assessment Report on your coach dashboard. Go to the "Your Coachees" section on your Coach Dashboard. Find the coachee based on their status. When you are in a coachee's profile page, go to the "Assessments" tab on to find the report anytime during their AceUp coaching engagement. Please note the new Quarterly Self Assessment Report will live in the platform, rather being sent to you as a PDF or slide deck.
How To Get The Most Out of The Quarterly Self Assessment Report?
- The first time you get a report on your coachee, scan it for indications of which behaviors and skills your coachee has progressed, stalled, or even gone backwards in and think of questions you can ask to help them identify the behavior and thinking patterns that have been most and least helpful. You can also encourage them before the session to reflect on their biggest takeaways, questions, and concerns.
- One thing you might want to help them understand is that the process of behavior change isn't usually linear. It is full of leaps forward and falls backward that are often caused by changes in motivation, focus, and available time. The more you can normalize the challenges of changing behaviors and the value of persistence and experimentation, the more likely they'll be willing to keep trying new approaches.
- Every quarter , once you receive your coachees' new Quarterly Self Assessment Reports, review them before your next session so that you and they can assess new patterns, re-contract around their goals, and refine their action plans or strategies.
- We also recommend using the Quarterly Self Assessment Report throughout each quarter to identify, track, analyze and celebrate breakthroughs and progress over time.
