The following guide will outline all of the elements that go into an AceUp Growth or Leadership 1:1 Coaching engagement with the important actions that you as the coach can take to ensure a
successful coaching journey for your coachees that leads to company-wide impact for our clients.
Depending on the type of coaching engagement you are coaching on, you may have some or all of the following elements included. Each element will list which coaching package it is included in.
Table of Contents:
Post-Session Survey and Session Notes
Activity Feed
Growth and Leadership Coaching
The Activity Feed is found under the Upcoming Session tab on the Coachee Profile and will keep you up to date with actions your coachee has taken, including; resources they’ve read, completion of assignments, and the launch and progress of their Quarterly Impact Assessment and 360.
You will also find actions that you as the coach can take to encourage your coachee to get the most out of their coaching engagement. You will be able to follow along with what actions your coachee needs to take, and templated messages that you can send to your coachee to nudge them will be available to make supporting your coachee quick and easy.
Impact Assessment
Growth and Leadership Coaching
The purpose of the Impact Assessment is to measure coachee progress and impact across AceUp’s competency framework to allow the coachee to prioritize their coaching focus for the coming quarter.
You will receive an email notification with all of the details when the Impact Assessment is launched and you will also see a notification on your coachee’s Activity Feed. The notification on the Activity Feed will include a button for you to click that opens a template message to send your coachee to encourage them to start the process. You will also receive notifications on the Activity Feed in the middle and at the end of the process with templated nudges you can send your coachee to encourage them to complete the assessment.
Once the coachee has completed the assessment, you can debrief the results in your next session and use the results to help the coachee reflect on their progress and determine areas of focus for future sessions.

Coach-Coachee-Manager Meeting
Leadership Coaching
The purpose of the Coach-Coachee-Manager (CCM) meeting is for the coach, the coachee, and the coachee’s manager to decide on a goal(s) and/or focus area that is both aligned with the overall goals of the engagement and is motivating for the coachee. During the meeting, the coachee can begin to formulate an action plan to reach this goal and set expectations on how the coachee’s manager can support them in reaching this goal.
The CCM is available once per quarter and is a coachee-driven process, but it is recommended that you as the coach talk with your coachee about this and encourage them to take advantage of the opportunity. The meeting will occur during one of your allotted coaching sessions and the coachee will be responsible for scheduling, defining the agenda, and preparing the action plan to be discussed.

360
Leadership Coaching
The AceUp 360 is a coachee-driven process that is run through the AceUp platform. If your coachee is enrolled in the 360, you will receive a notification email when it is launched and you will also get notification through the coachee’s Activity Feed.
You can view the progress of your coachee’s reviewers on the Activity Feed and you will receive notifications of any related actions your coachee needs to take for you to encourage. Once the reviewers have completed their submissions and your coachee closes out the 360 process, you will receive an email and Activity Feed notification with a link to the 360 report. The expectation is that coaches will debrief the 360 report with their coachees within the next 2 1:1 sessions.
Coach Strategic Alignment
Growth and Leadership Coaching
Throughout an engagement, there may be times when we reach out to gather further insights from your coaching engagement to help the AceUp team drive alignment, impact, and renewal conversations with the client.
You may receive a brief survey asking you to provide insights or occasionally, the Implementation and Delivery Manager on the engagement will reach out to coaches to schedule a coach alignment meeting to discuss insights live. Please note that these calls are recorded to share with any coaches that could not attend the calls. All insights that are shared on surveys or during live calls are to be high level as to not compromise the confidentiality of your coachee.
Session Scheduling
Growth and Leadership Coaching
It is best practice to use the final few minutes of your coaching session to schedule the next session with your coachee, and/or encourage your coachee to schedule all of their sessions on a recurring basis. This helps to ensure that they are taking advantage of their sessions which leads to a more powerful coaching journey.
Flash Coaching
Leadership Coaching
If your coachee’s engagement includes Flash Coaching, AceUp’s feature for coaching in the flow of work, you will see it notated on their Coachee Profile and they will be able to schedule a flash coaching session with you on an unlimited basis, but only one at a time, and based on your availability. These sessions can last anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.
Once your coachee requests a flash coaching session, you will receive an email notification and be able to view and manage the session along with all requested 1:1 sessions on your Coach Dashboard. Please note that Flash Coaching sessions must be scheduled by your coachee. Coaches are not able to schedule flash coaching sessions on their coachee’s behalf.
Once the flash coaching session is completed, please complete the post-session survey and mark the flash coaching session as "Occurred" the same way you would mark a typical session as "Occurred".
Post-Session Survey & Session Notes
Growth and Leadership Coaching
When you and your coachee complete a coaching session, you will be asked to complete a post-session survey and optionally submit a session note for your coachee within 48 hours after your session.
Under your Past Sessions tab, after you mark your session as occurred, you will get a popup with a post session survey where you can capture the competency focus for the session, any breakthroughs your coachee experienced during the session, and any systemic insights from the session. The Systemic Insights section is critical for us to be able to surface organizational insights and data to our clients that will help to showcase value and drive engagement renewals. Please check the Engagement Info tab of the Coachee Profile to discover any specific targeted insights that the client is looking for. We appreciate your thoughtful contributions in this section.
AceUp will aggregate anonymized themes from post-session surveys to highlight systemic insights and impact of the coaching engagement. Be assured that we only present anonymized themes and your individual coachee’s privacy is of the highest importance to us. To help us with this, please do not use your coachee’s name, or any other names when you are completing your post-session survey.
Once you have completed the post-session survey, you will move to the next screen where you can enter your session note and any assignments for your coachee that will support their success. This section is confidential between you and your coachee and is optional, but we highly encourage you to complete this for the benefit of your coachee.
