When you and your coachee complete a coaching session, you will be asked to complete a post-session survey and optionally submit a session note for your coachee within 48 hours after your session.
Post-Session Survey
Under your Past Sessions tab, after you mark your session as occurred, you will get a popup with a post session survey where you can capture the competency focus for the session, any breakthroughs your coachee experienced during the session, and any systemic insights from the session.
The Systemic Insights section is critical for us to be able to surface organizational insights and data to our clients that will help to showcase value and drive engagement renewals. Please check the Engagement Info tab of the Coachee Profile to discover any specific targeted insights that the client is looking for. We appreciate your thoughtful contributions in this section.
AceUp will aggregate anonymized themes from post-session surveys to highlight systemic insights and impact of the coaching engagement. Be assured that we only present anonymized themes and your individual coachee’s privacy is of the highest importance to us. To help us with this, please do not use your coachee’s name, or any other names when you are completing your post-session survey.
Note: We’ve updated our post-session survey questions for 1:1 coaching to better reflect the impact of your work. Your thoughtful notes help us tell the story of each program—anonymously and in aggregate—and now, we’re evolving the way we capture that story. The new survey questions are designed to surface:
- Actions taken
- Growth and mindset shifts
- Roadblocks and challenges
These updates will help us highlight insights through a team-focused, systemic lens, the same perspective we bring to every engagement.

Session Notes
Once you have completed the post-session survey, you will move to the next screen where you can enter your session note and any assignments for your coachee that will support their success. This section is confidential between you and your coachee and is optional, but we highly encourage you to complete this for the benefit of your coachee. *If you do not wish to leave an assignment you may need to click on the trash can icon to remove the field before submitting and marking the session as occurred.
Important note for your coachees using AceUp Ally: If your coachee is using Ally, it will auto-populate your post session survey notes for you.
Immediately after the session, Ally will automatically send a brief summary of the session to you and your coachee. It lets the coachee know that you will be reviewing and sharing more detailed notes that accurately capture your session shortly.
It is important that coaches review the notes that are populated by Ally. Sometimes you may find that information is missing or needs to be modified. You have the ability to edit any notes and responses so that they are reflective of your session with a coachee before submitting.
