Mark a Session Occurred, Leave Session Notes and Create Assignments for Your Client

After you have a coaching session with your client, you can leave session notes and create assignments for them.

There are two ways to leave session notes and create assignments for your clients through the AceUp platform.

Option 1: After confirming a session has occurred

After a session is completed, you can indicate if the session has occurred or not from the Sessions section. Click on the PAST tab on your coach dashboard.

On the session card, click on OCCURRED to indicate the session took place. You will be prompted to leave your client feedback and create assignments/next-steps for this session. When you edit your session notes, you can format your notes and attach documents. When creating assignments, you can include a due date and instructions, and attach documents if needed. You will also be able to create more than one assignment for a session.

After clicking on SUBMIT, your client will be notified via email, and will be able to see all session notes and assignments on their dashboard. You can also edit any and all session notes and assignments later in the CRM section on your coach dashboard.

After a session is completed, you will receive an email that asks, “Did your session happen?” Clicking on the CONFIRM SESSION button in the email will bring you to the same editing window as described above.

Option 2: Through the CRM section on Your Coach Dashboard

The CRM section of your dashboard helps you keep track of relationships with your clients. On the main page you will be able to see a list of clients you are working with or you have worked with in the past. If you have any corporate clients, you will also see the company logo or the company name next to the names of those corporate clients. Dates of your first sessions (a complimentary session or a paid coaching program session) with each client will be listed under First Engagement.

To view information about your coaching engagement with a client you can click on the client name.

On the individual client page, you will be able to see all the coaching programs included in your coaching engagement with the client, when at least one session of that program has been marked as occurred.

Under the Notes & Assignments section, you can give your client different assignments, keep track of the client’s coaching progress, and review session notes.

Session Feedback

You will be able to add or edit feedback for your clients for any coaching session. Move to the SESSIONS tab and click the + button next to the session you want to review. If you hover over your feedback, the option to edit the content will appear. If no feedback has been left yet, you will see the EDIT button directly.

When you pursue a coaching program consisting of more than one session with a client, you will be able to see the progression of each session as well as the notes you left them for each session.

You can view an assignment and your client’s responses (if any) by clicking on the name of the assignment. Once you have added an assignment, you can view, change the due date for the assignment, and delete the assignment by clicking on the edit icon next to the due date of an assignment. After you client has marked that the assignment has been completed, you will see a green check mark next to the name of the assignment. If you require your client to submit a completed assignment or any types of “homework” in response to the task you assign to the client, you will also be able to see those here.
